Artist's Description
This is a little watercolor I did in 2012. It depicts the Harry Kemp/Tasha Family dune shack in the Cape Cod National Seashore, Provincetown, Massachusetts. The American poet, Harry Kemp lived in this shack, where he wrote, on the beach until in his old age, he was taken in by Sonny Tasha. The Tasha family then became owners of the historic shack. I have spent some lovely days in this shack either with members of the Tasha family or with their permission, and can say from experience, it is a wonderful place to be. It feels like you are on another planet out there, secluded, just steps from the beach. I couldn't help but paint it... this is a little plein air watercolor I did while out there one day, later inked in for definition.
