Scout metal print by Jennifer Creech. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

Artist's Description
This Encaustic Wax painting, "Scout", was created using Beeswax, Tree Sap(Damar Resin), Lac Bug Secretions (Shellac), pigments (Oils, inks, and Powders), and a heat source (Blow Torch in my case). This very ancient medium is so archival that we have examples of beautiful portraits in wax that are over two thousand years old! Encaustic painting became a true Lost Art when oil paints came on the scene. That is, until Jasper Johns revived the art form in the 1950's.
