"Leaping Fox #1" is a miniature Encaustic Wax painting by JAC. The original size was 4"x4". Encaustic Wax is an ancient, archival, painting medium which consists of Beeswax, Tree Sap, and pigments that are brushed onto a wood panel and fused with heat. The medium is over 2,000 years old, and examples from that time are the most well preserved examples of ancient fine art the world has ever know. Wax paint never fades or yellows.
